I am a boy of 14 years of age. I am suffering from hair loss at the vertex of the head. Some doctors are recommending Minoxidil Topical 2% (in the form of Morr Soln.) and other are prescribing anti-fungals. Which of the two will help me regrow my hair earlier? And can they be used together?

Yes, minoxidil will definitely help. I am 25 years and I have been using Hair4U soln. daily since I was 18. However, I am not sure of the anti-fungal. You can also ask your doctor about finasteride tablets (1mg). I think that should help you combat hair loss till your late 20s.
