I have been on morphine sulfate long term for chronic intractable pain due to damage after a severe fall. I am on S/S and hence a tight budget, more so because my wife, who is too young to receive S/S for several years, has been ill and unable to work. Also, our 21 year old son has only been able to earn a small amount of money, and lives with us. I need to find companies that might assist me above and beyond the assistance I receive from my state, New Jersey, that still leaves me with a bill of over two hundred dollars a month for my immediate release and extended release Rx's. I have moderate to severe Degenerative Disc Disease of Cervical Spine with severe narrowing (stenosis) along with bulging and herniated discs with severe arthritis (osteo) also in cervical spine with boney spurs. I also have Fibromyalgia, Chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome ad Chronic Fatigue. My pain management doc has done many different procedures, non giving much relief and no long term relief. I have been on and off 5-325 and 10-325 oxycodon for about 6 months now I was wondering how a 30mg morphine tablet would affect me I'm 110 pounds if that helps any. I 4 tiny (like all of them together are about the size of my pinky nail) orange or peach colored tablets that have a clearly marked 2 on one side and somesort of curvy design which mildly resembles a K on the other. Does morphine, oxycontin and oxycodone show up the same in a urine test? If not, what shows up as what? ## Any info please.. ## It depends on the type of test being used. There are some that just check for the presence of opiates, but there are also tests that can check for the specific opiate. Hello I am trying to find a pain killer I took in the 80's for pain from severe burns. It was Black and Red. It was a capsule. It was an Opiate. It worked really well and did not make me sick!!! I took a urine test for court yesterday and it came up positive mop. I'm not sure what this means but the judge said i tested positive for moriphine. I have not taken any morphine and the only meds i take are hydrocodone 7.5/500, which is perscribed and neurontin. I was in an auto accident 8/21/96 and ever since then I have been dealing with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). For the last 11 yrs I have been on Avinza 270 mg (2 120mg, 1 30mg once a day) by King Pharmaceutical and now my ins company is insisting that a generic is made and sold in the US by Acatavis Elizabeth. I cannot see anything current that it has been released. There is a legal suit between King and Acatavis because it states a generic cannot be released until 11/2017. Generics do not work for me and right now I'm fighting it, but would like to know if it is true about Avinza being made and sold in the US by Actavis. ive been in pain mgmnt for 15yrs. taken of percs(longterm use causing liver failure) put on roxys. have been on 30's for several yrs now. They work without making me high or woozy. LVPI has stopped prescribing eff jan 1. Are there any dr's not afraid of DEA? Morphine..dilaudid etc make me loopy. with bleeding ulcers..percs etc are out of the question..HELP ## Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion and not on someone else's previous appointment (especially since many doctor's are still worried about losing their licensing for prescribing too many narcotics).
