I had a total knee replacement in 2005 and 11 total surgeries to my lower left leg. I have been to Ohio, Michigan, New York and Texas! My doctor gave me morphine 6-8 tablets per day for 3 or 4 years and it worked. He is retired now. Several of your readers are correct! If you look around for another doctor or ask for a specific drug you are a junkie, drug addicted doctor shopper. That sucks! Why is that? Where can I go in Northern Kentucky? hi, i am on a drug called zapain, 500mg paracetamol, 30mg codeine. i had a medicall at work and the toxicology states 3573ng/ml morphine. i know that codeine shows as morphine but work is trying to fire me saying i am on opiates. This is a prescribed pain meication for me. i take 8 tablets a day. is the toxicology reading normal for that amount of medication? please help. my job depends on this. thank you

Can morphine and Scopolamine Lorazepam be mixed for a 70 year old man with terminal cancer? ## I looked up these medications myself and could not find any indications for why they could not be used together! From what I have read, the one medication of course is for pain and the other is a patch that is worn behind the ear which is given to help alleviate nausea ..... however I am not in the health care field whatsoever and you really should be calling the doctor if these medications were not proscribed to him by the doctor that is treating him! I have chronic back pain from two fusions. I fell from 5 step up on a rainy deck and I had to have C3-4 fusion and L5-S1 And have been on pain meds for 11 years. This is the only way I can get through the day. ## Hello, Rita! How are you? There are 70mg and 75mg extended release capsules available and the next up in tablet form from the current dosage you are taking would be 100mg extended release tablets. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Another alternative would be to add a regular release breakthrough medication, so you can also ask your doctor about doing that. Is there anything else I can help with?

My veteran father. With buayed rotator cupsn buated hitlp and other war related issues, gets 60 morphine 60s and 300 oxy 5s Last month he got 60 morphine 60s and only 120 oxy5 I believe he mentioned next month he will get 56 morphine and 15 oxys. Total He tested positive for marijuana a few months back.... But our state has a mmj ok law. So the va asked for his card. And reluctantly copied and sent it to them. I took a half of a Morphine 30 mg about 5 hours ago is it safe to take a Xanax now? ## Hi Missy, From what I'm seeing online, there are moderate drug interactions listed between Morphine and Xanax; with the potential of it causing an increased risk for impaired thinking/judgement, dizziness, drowsiness, and an overall inability to concentrate. So if this is a concern to you I would probably wait at least double that amount of time in between doses, just to be on the safe side. For the record, nhtsa.gov states that Morphine has a relatively short half-life of anywhere between 1 1/2 to 7 hours. I live in northeast Indiana, Fort Wayne area. My father, 59, has been on varying dosages of morphine since 2005, due to a back injury he got in 1989. As a chronic pain patient, morphine is the one drug that has been able to help him obtain at least some standard of living. The doctor (Dr. William Hedrick) and pain clinic that provided his morphine are now out of business, due to his medical license being suspended for, among other things, dangerous prescribing practices. While my father still has a small quantity of Oxycodone (10 mg three times a day, if I'm not mistaken), but that's not nearly enough to improve his quality of life. Im taking 30 mgs of morphine 3 times a day. It doesnt make me feel high r anything. It just takes away my chronic back pain, due to a couple of back surgies. Im also taking tramdol 50 mgs of tramdol also works good. However, in order for any of these meds to work. I have tlo take 3 pills of each, meaning im taking 90mgs of morphine and a 150 of tramdol. The pain clinic and the Doctor that prescribes my morphine. I dont feel like he has my best interest at heart. He seems to be me like a legalize drug dealer. What is a small round white pill with just a line on one side and on the other side at the top it has the number 54, & on the bottom it has the number 733? I have not took morphine or herion or anything like that in over a year not even cough meds with codiene. I am prescribed subutex that I do take two 8 mg pills daily. But somehow I took a urine test and they said they found traces of morphine and its blowing my mind. Does anyone know how this could possibly happen

Cps took my grandchild - said tested positive for morphine in one hair test, and morphine + oxycontin in another. It was impossible for this to be true so we fought and fought. finally cps agreed to have samples retested by different lab They were CLEAN How many false positives are there when in my case there were TWO....??

How do you inject abg 30 morphine? ## It is actually not safe to inject any medication that has not been specifically formulated to be used that way. Tablets, especially time released formulations, contain fillers and not all of them are meant to be broken down by the human body. They are normally just expelled in your waste, however, if you inject them, you are putting them into your body in a manner, in which it cannot process them out. This creates the risk of blockages, which could lead to strokes or embolism. I had ruen y bypass in 2007 then in 2009 I was in car accident after all surgeries I ended up with failed back surgery syndrome. I currently am prescribed morphine sulfate 15mg 2x daily along with oxi ir 15mg 4x daily although the ms was just added recently cause the oxi was not managing the pain. the ms is not much help. would allowing it to soak under tongue help absorption?
