I am currently taking 15 mg of morphine er twice daily and have been for 4 months now for chronic severe back pain. I have been noticing the last 2 weeks that it's not working as well. Is it safe to take 2 at once? ## Hello, Crystal! How are you? No, you shouldn't adjust your dosage, without your doctor's approval. That could be too much for you to take and may cause a dangerous overdose. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The best thing to do would be to contact your doctor, inform them of the problem and then see what they advise. Is there anything else I can help with?

My husband 6ft 279 pounds was left at the hospital labeled as JOHN DOE. As a result my husband died. The coroner office said the cause of death was Opiate Toxicity of Opiates. Which was morphine and codeine. Per the report it was 14.3ng/ML of morphine (Free) and less than 5ng/ML of codeine. I just don't understand how a person this size dies from morphine and codeine. From the information I have gathered this is not really a lot of meds compared to his size. The way my husband's death took place, nothing is adding up. how many 10 mg hydrododone equal morphine 60 mg sa tab. ## To equal 60mgs of Morphine, you would need 15mgs of the Hydrocodone.
