I've been on morphing 15 mg for 9 years at 4 times a day . witch would equal to 60 MG's. A day and now they decided to put me on 30 milligrams time release twice a day . is this still the same thing or different and how ## Hello, Blackbetty! How are you? My doctor switched me from morphine 40 mg ER to 10/325 norco and he said I could take one tonight around the time I would take my morphine. My question is, has the morphine wore off enough to take the norco without causing problems? ## Hello, David! How are you? The doctors don't want to give me the acedamentaphon, I keep telling them besides the neck and back problems I have pancreas and diverticulitus problems and the act. helps with the diaraherra causes by those two problems. What do I have to do to make them understand. Not to mention the doctor raises his voice and slams his fist on the counter when I tell him I cannot take morphine and he gives me oxycodon, another part of morphine. I need to find a doctor in East TN that will write me my Opana ER 40's back or at least give me Morphine 100's back and will take Tn care Blue Cross/Blue Shield medicaid or cash. I have lots of back problems among other chronic pain issues and have extensive records to prove it all! I have taken morphine 25 mg. I am on a suboxone program and I have to dose tomorrow. My dose is 16 milligrams. I take my suboxone orally but I took the morphine intravenously - are there any drug interactions? ## It depends, was the morphine a one time thing or have you been taking it more? You usually want to wait until you are feeling active withdrawal symptoms from the morphine BEFORE you take the suboxone or you can have precipitated withdrawal symptoms which are FAR Worse.

I live n north Atlanta, ga. And suddenly no pharmacy (been to 6 so far) will fill my scripts. And each has a different reason than the next, yet none accusing me of any wrong doing. Been on severe pain control since .2005. No new meds at all... Why? ## What reasons have you been given? There have been a lot of problems on the east coast recently. My insurance change thus my pm doc changed. He switched me from 100mg er morphine 3xday with 4 10/325 percocet daily and 2 350mg soma to up to 3 30mg ir morphine 4x daily only for pain. No breakthrough med and no muscle relaxer. Am I going to stiffer major wd?or is this captains with what I was taking? Been on for 5 years to build up to this amount, two failed back surgeries, constant pain and spasms, with some foot surgeries and other pain issues. I had a Dr that was was suspended , SO STUPID!!! Now I am looking for a DR that will write for what I was on, Morphine 39 mgs 4x day and methadone 60 mg daily. A new pain pill exstinded relief that starts with and a not avinsa ## Hi Eddie, What about the name Astramorph? It too is another brand of Morphine like Avinza. However, the difference is that Astramorph is an inj./epidural. And while I'm not sure how new it is or how long the relief lasts, inj's. are typically a lot stronger than oral pain meds due to increased bioavailability. Unfortunately I haven't heard of any other pain meds that start with an 'A', but if anything I hope this at least helps narrow down your search.

for 3 years my dr. was prescribing me three 60mg morphine sulphate er and four 30mg ms ir daily. when it became impossible to get MS in Florida, he switched me to Fentanyl patch 12MCG/HR every 3 days and 7.5mg-200 hydrocordone , 1 every 8 hours. the pain was unbearable and I felt terrible. cold sweats, shakes, could'nt think straight. when I asked him to increase dosage, he increased the patch to 25 MCG, but said there was more MS in the 7.5-200 hydrocodone than the 30mg tabs of ms. do you agree? I was prescribed 60mg Morphine ER twice a day with 10mg norco up to 6 tablets a day for 2.5 years. I always took it as prescribed never asked for early prescriptions. A few months ago my rheumatologist sent me to a pain dr for management because he said I am too young (35) to be on this many narcotics. The new dr is super nice and you can tell he wants to medicate me to manage my pain but has changed my medication around all over the place to doses that are too low or medications that don't work or cause side effects. Tablets contain fillers and not all of them are meant to be broken down by the human body, this is especially true of time released medications. Normally, these leftover products are just expelled in your waste. However, if you inject them, you are putting this fillers into your body in a manner that it is unable to process them out and this creates the risk of blockages, which could lead to stroke or embolism. My dr. has been giving me 30 mg morphine immediate release for several years. I just had my prescription filled and noticed that my new ones say SR.I'm sure it was a mistake and my dr. and I never had any discussion about it. The pharmacy is closed now but I need my medicine. So since I am used to the 30 mg IR already, why would it hurt to crush or cut open the same amount of mg in SR? I can't wait until the pharmacy opens again tomorrow afternoon. ## Theoretically your reasoning makes good sense, and in light of that I don't see why it would hurt to do so. I have been taking liquid morphine every four hours since december 2015 for severe sciatia. I had a spinal operation 4 weeks ago, which was a complete success. However now I cannot sleep without taking zimovane. Everything else is functioning well. Morphine is still present in my body. I drink water constantly. Moved to LaGrange GA from Hawaii a few months ago. Have been on 3-100mg morphine and 4_30mg oxycodone for 10+ years with great quality of life and no problems. Emory PCP wrote prescriptions for the last 4 months but every referral was turned down except one now inPhenix City, AL. Need a DR on medicaid(nothing like Hawaii's) or self-pay. Will travel Help please!
