Morphine To Oxycodone

My doctor changed my meds from Morphine 80 mgs tid to 50 mgs oxycodone tid along with liquid 5 mgs as required. Why would she do this? I had lymphoma.

I am sorry, but only your doctor can answer that question.

However, I can tell you that Oxycodone is stronger than Morphine, so they may have thought it would help you more than the Morphine.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Have you asked her why she made the change?
