It only seems to last 4 hours and the morphine 30 mg er seems to last no more than 7 hours. I can only stand and bend for 10 minutes or less until I'm in excruciating pain. My pain Dr. Only sees me once every 6 month's. I've had a spinal fusion & fractured back and a fractured neck.

The regular release, which you refer to as IR is usually taken every 8 hours, and the ER every 12 hours, but you should ultimately follow the prescribing instructions, because only a medical professional can help you decide what is safest and best for you.
The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such a nausea, dizziness, constipation, dry mouth, and headache.
Can you possibly see your doctor for help more frequently?
