Morphine Vs Oxycontin

I was taking OxyContin 80 mg twice a day it is now no longer on my formulary the doctor switched from oxy to morphine extended release morphine extended release is the dark blue oblong pill generic version .
This morphine generic does not work nearly as good as the oxy.. Is there other generics that are better than the current one that I'm taking?

What are the markings on the Morphine tablet that you're taking? Do you know what the dosage is?

Morphine is weaker than Oxycodone, so you'd actually need take 120mgs of it to be equivalent to each 80mgs of Oxycontin that you were taking. Thus, I'm concerned that you may not be on the correct dose.

The FDA classifies this as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
