Have had a Morphine Sulfate 30mg Rx from my Doc in Orlando since moving to Sarasota / Lakewood Ranch area Jan 30. NO CVS, NO Walmart has had this med. All say it is out of stock or haven't carried it for a long time. The Rx expires after 6 months. Please can you help give info to explain why pharmacies here don't have a medicine for my chronic condition? Orlando is 2.5+ hours away...too far for my spouse to go for an Rx.. Thank you. We are confused.

Walgreen's will not fill any RX if it is 20 miles away from your address had 3 stores refuse me due to that reason also say out of stock. Worst pharmacy ever. CVS OR SAMS CLUB.

I ran out of Morphine Sulfate both immediate release and Extended release over a month ago. The last doctor I saw a few days ago for my 30 year-old sciatic pain could not prescribe Morphine Sulfate for me. However, He DID prescribe a FLEXIRIL generic (CYCLOBENZAPRINE) and a NEURONTIN generic GABAPENTIN 300 MG) I haven't noticed any help from the "FLEXIRIL" but so far I'm getting some welcome pain relief (50%) with the "NEURONTIIN". generic.

I had an appointment for my back/butt pain with an orthopedic pain Doc.After looking at my MRI's and Xrays, He did not suggest any procedure that might cure my back pain problem and He was not authorized to prescribe Morphine Sulfate for me. However He did prescribe NEURONTIN. It HAS taken the edge off my back pain Not as good as the MorphineSulfate I'm used To but a good substitute for now. He gave me a referral to a Pain Management Doctor who could probably prescribe Morphine Sulfate but I'll be flying back to Michigan before I could get an appt. to see him.

I finally gave up trying to find Morphine Sulfate both Immediate and extended release 15mg and 30mg in southwest Florida. I've been on Gabapentin (Neurontin) for over a month now and it has really helped reduce my long-term Sciatica and other nerve pain. I was Started gradually at (1) 300 mg pill a day and am now up to 600 mg 3 times a day. Doctors told me it could go much higher if needed but I'm good as is for now. Haven't noticed any major side effects yet. Hope this info helps someone.

I know it's a late reply but you should have your doc change you to fentanyl duragessic patches. it goes up to 100mcg and you would probably need 2 to 3 100mcg patches on the same time for a 2000mg morphine conversion. they would work a lot better than the morphine and a lot less pills to eat and lot less meds to have big brother watching. I'm to tired of big brother telling me and my doctor even how much I can have, like you can have some not to suffer but you can't have enough and have to hurt really bad still outside of changing to fentanyl another drug that works good is methadone. Write me back if you ever need any ideas. I've been on pain meds over 13 years and been on everyone of them to see what helps best. email at {edited for privacy} don't mind helping a fellow sufferer anytime.

I gave up on finding Morphine Sulfate in Florida. My last back Doctor suggested I try Gabbapentin. I ending up taking (600mg 3 times a day) and it has eliminated 85% of the nerve-related back pain I've had for over 30 years. My depressed wife is also taking GabbaPentin (100 mg 3 times a day) and it has eliminated 95 % of the body shaking. she has been experiencing for several months. Hope this info helps someone relieve their pain.

For those of you dealing with Sciatic Nerve Pain in the back, butt & foot, I strongly suggest you see a doctor (pain specialist) who might prescribe Gabbapentin to reduce your pain. I take 600 mg twice a day and it has done a much better job reducing my back/butt Pain than the 30 mg Morphine Sulfate Meds I've been on for several years. As with most Meds there can be side effects so check them out.

This message won't necessarily help those trying to FIND Morphine Sulfate but it might help diminish your pain somewhat once you're able to get these meds. . I take 30 MG IMMREL Morphine Sulfate twice a day (Once in late Morning and once in the Evening) At about the same time I also take GabaPentin (600MG 3 times a day). Both meds are fromWalgreens here in northern Michiganl and have been prescribed by my pain Doctors. That combination seems to lower my back pain level more than taking each one by it self. PLEASE check with your own Doctor before trying this! Also, if anyone sees a possible problem with this, please let me and others know....Thanks RB

Hey Larry..use fb and get doctor in Canada..They are great. You can also find them on youtube and the doctor will Skype you...tell them how you feel as if you're treated like a junkie..because I know..been there..started with major back pain..now have no cushion between my disk in my back..bone deterioration disease. I hurt all the time..but they say take motrin..I can't...dancer for 21 years...they want rehab and new meds 2 get hooked on..when they want u off..they put u on Psych. meds and say ur an addict..like I said it's legal to speak to a doctor in other countries...Canada is free willed..and delivers.

I have been able to get Morphine IR prior which was $ 10.00. When my PA tried to print out the Morphine IR this last time, my PA said when he tried to print out the Instant Release this last time, he said it didn't give him the option to print the instant release. IR was $10.00 and this one Morphine Sulfate 15MG Oral Tablet was $100.00 my PA couldn't understand why there was the option on one occasion and the next time he wasn't given the option of IR to print out. My PA asked me to ask the pharmacist and he said they get orders for it all the time so why my PA wasn't given the option of printing the IR out, he couldn't understand. If he tries again on Oct. 31st when I see him next and again he isn't given the option again, who does he contact to see why he isn't given the option again? Neither the PA or pharmacist are understanding the why? Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Having the same problem in CA. I have been on a high dose for 12 yrs. and suddenly it is almost impossible to get. I have enough to get thru Monday morning. This is really wrong for whoever is behind this!

When you call a pharmacy, they will most likely say "no" because it is easy. Pharmacies are not going to say if they have controlled substances in stock over the phone. You probably need to inquire in person, and I know that can be very time-consuming & aggravating. I've been there.
