Morphine Side Effects (Top voted first)

I've been taking 45 mill morphine every 6 Hrs for my CRPS about 3 months now. A week ago I started getting sick and severely dizzy to the point of passing out. Just moving my eyes back and forth make me dizzy. Why is this happening? My blood pressure is fine. Without pain meds I cannot walk and usually end up in the emergency room.

Hi Brad,

From what I could gather, the following are all potential side effects of Morphine, that may or may not be contributing to or causing the dizzy feeling you're describing:

dizziness
lightheadedness
drowsiness
nausea
double vision
eye movements that you cannot control
confusion
hallucinations
blurred vision

If it becomes too bothersome or severe I would suggest contacting your doctor about this concern to see what other options may be necessary.
