Morphine Shot In Hospital

I had a very bad fall on Thurs. The emergency gave me1 shot of morphine .I cannot sleep.Having wierd thoughts at night, cannot sleep. Is this still due to the meds.

No, any side effects from a shot given that many days ago wouldn't be lingering this long.

However, it could very well be a slight form of post traumatic stress. It can happen, even with small events like this and most people never recognize it for what it is, because it doesn't last longer than a week or two.

It really only gets noticed when it severely affects someone's quality of life and ability to function, which is usually when it's very severe and lasts for years.

You may want to give it a little more time and see if it eases off and if it doesn't, then you should seek medical. attention.

Another possibility is if you hit your head in the fall, if that is the case, you should see a doctor immediately to discuss these symptoms.
