Is oxymorphone 15mg comparable in strength to morphine 30 mg?

Actually, the 15mgs of Oxymorphone is stronger, it is actually equal to 45mgs of Morphine.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I have been taking 10mg. Oxymorphone E.R. 2 x daily for a few years now. Just recently I was notified by both my pharmacy and Pain Management Dr. that they are no longer available by the manufacturer. The pharmacy who told me this was Walgreens. I live in the state of Tennessee and wondering if anyone else is encountering this problem. It just seems like the DEA or CDC is taking over and within due time we who are truly disabled and in need of pain medicine to live a quality and productive life are being forgotten about and being hung out to dry. Most all pain management Dr.s here in Tn. are under the control of the DEA and have no say any longer as to what they can and cannot prescribe you . Time to stand up and fight for our right BACK ! As of now and the past year or longer we no longer have any rights !
