Are any of your Morphine pills extended-release tablets?
I don't think there is any differences in the suggested doses, but rather the two 30mg pills-3 times a day allows you to better adjust your dose if you feel that you don't need as much for some reason or another.
That's really one of the only conclusions I can come to, unless any of these are extended release tablets. It may also not have anything to do with the above, and could just be a new dosage protocol that physicians have to adhere to when prescribing Morphine (for safety reasons, etc).
Either way, the dosing you were prescribed is no different than the other 60mg, so you should be fine in regards to that.
