Mood Changes Throughout The Day

I've been on 50mg for 2 months now and I'm noticing they are helping my depression but most days I have moments of happiness and really feeling good about myself then hours later I will feel really depressed and sad. There's not really a pattern that I can notice. Some days I'm still sad all day but there's never days when I'm entirely happy/ok.
Any suggestions why this unbalanced emotional state is happening.

Hello, Jen! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're having.

It may be hormonal related, many of us ladies experience that, because our levels can change throughout the day and at differing times of the month.

Alternatively, this just might not be a high enough dose for you. The FDA classifies Zoloft as an SSRI and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache and weight gain.

Have you consulted your doctor?

I have. I told my doctor as well as the 2 week time period where I just felt like I was taking steps backwards so my dosage has increased to 100 mg. I still have on and off days but I know that's expected.
Thank you for your reply though. I didn't know that hormone changes happen that frequently.
