Montelukast And Mosquitos

Hi all I have been taking Montelukast for the past 7 months and have noted that I now never ever get bitten by mosquitos. This is a very welcome side effect!

While this isn't a listed side effect, though I'm sure that many would also welcome such an occurrence, it does make sense. Many medications can change your blood and sweat, which may make them unappealing to such insects. It's just how they react with your body chemistry. My dad was always well known to attack crazy numbers of mosquitoes and, if he were still with us, I'd gladly pass this information on to him to save him some miserable hours of itching.

The typical side effects, as listed by the U.S. FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth.

Has anyone else experienced this?
