Montelukast Kastair Tablet

I have a 9 month old baby boy who weighs 10.5 kg. He had his first asthma attack since he was on his 6th. Monthly he would had his attacks. His first pediatrician prescribed him 1 nebule Salbutamol (Ventolin) and 1/2 nebule Budesonide (Asmavent) every 4 hours, Prednisone (Prolix) 2.5ml 2x a day, Pocaterol HCl (Meptin) 2.5ml 3x a day and Cefixime (Tergecef) 1.5ml 2x a day. Then I went on a second opinion pediatrician, she prescribed Ceterizine (Allerkid) 1ml before bedtime, Salbutamol-Ipratropium (Duavent) 1 nebule for every 6 hours, Erythromycin (ilosone) 2ml 3x a day and Montelukast (Kastair) 1 tablet before bedtime. I had a neighbor whose her baby is taking Montelukast for almost 2 years now. She said his son had no longer attacks. My question is, is it okay for my baby that I will give him Montelukast while he is on the remedy of his first pediatrician? Thanks.
