Mold In House Effects And Treatment For The Individual Who Is Ill From Living There And Can't Leave Yet.

i live in a very old apt. building and there are multiple water situations in the entire place. mold is growing in my unit since the area of the sink can't drain properly, and i have severe respiratory problems, requiring paramedics usually early a.m. the mucous that i spit out, i never saw anything like that, from me, it is like a gummy bear, nearly, or a bola in the thai tea, and sticky beyond belief. like glue. the liquid and mucuous separates, it does not dry out fast, and i made a culture, sort of in a little bottle, it grew green mold after a few days, what i spit up from coughing . i am very ill in
waves and get better than sick too ill to get out of bed. i breathe like a person with emphysemia, sometimes can't even catch my breath and worry i may die from it. the doc says obstructive respiratory disease, no smoking cigarettes i quit years ago.

i live near downtown los angeles, and more specific, well, the plumbing is a disaster in this apt. it is a one room place, and the water always splashes on the floor its a small sink and there is no space to go dry it up and the floor and wood there in the back are rotten, the building is over one hundred years old, and the various owners have been either very on the job, or completely negligent, and there are holes in the floor to the crawlspace. and it smells funny after the water is there for a couple of days it gets a nasty odor, some call it algae, but los angeles, did not used to be like that, the water did not get , well, greasy or oily feeling after three days or so, and it is slimy on bowl or dish where the water is, or was. and it looks like moss a little, but not totally, it is sort of like hair green and black. and it is mildew in here too.

Well, the first issue is to try to kill the mold. You can dump bleach in those areas that will help kill it, and buy a product called Kilz, you can buy it in most hardware stores and paint stores, near the regular paint, and it works just like paint, you just brush it over the necessary surfaces. However, if these issues aren't being addressed, the mold and mildew will most likely recur. These methods will also not work with any growing inside the walls, in the crawl space, or etc.

As to your breathing issues, the best thing to do there is to follow your doctor's advice on what to use. Many people have to take oral medications, and use inhalers, or nebulizers on a regular basis to help, according to NIH reports. I know my husband and I both have a combination of them that we have to use. I had to grab my inhaler and use it, this evening, I was getting something to eat and suddenly had trouble breathing, while I waiting for my Thanksgiving leftovers to warm in the microwave.
