No registration is required and your identity remains anonymous.I was given a prescription for Nuvigil, then Provigil, and my Insurance denied both of them. My Doctor prescribed it for Treatment Resistant Depression, which is Depression that has failed to be controlled by many (for me about 20) combinations of anti-depressants and then anti-psychotics and anti-depressants. Also, treatment failed for me by having 4 Electro Shock Treatments and then a Vagus Nerve Stimulator implanted in my neck to send waves to my brain to help the depression. I was still not functional. The doctor said to look into ordering Modafinil overseas. I called the FDA and was told this was legal as long as my Doctor had it documented in my records. I found a place and when I started treatment on Modafinil, my depression was lifted to the point where I was able to do things f...
1 REPLY UpdatedAre there any other ways to save money on brand name versions of modafinil? I have insurance, I have a legitimate prescription, I just can't afford the name brands that are available at my real world pharmacy any more. Somebody please help. Thank you in advance for any leads and/ or suggestions. ## The manufacturer offers a patient assistance program. Also you can print an rx savings card from this site which is free and can be used at your pharmacy for a discount on filling your script. Hope this helps!
1 REPLY UpdatedI have REM sleep disorder, with mild narcolepsy, for which I take low doses of modafinil and clonazepam. I also have Hashimotos Disease, for which I had a partial thyroidectomy, and take thyroxine hormone replacement. Do any of these interfere with my blood pressure, causing it to fluctuate, and my throat is starting to sound hoarse when I sing. Should I be concerned about the hoarseness when I sing, and do the drugs cause my blood pressure to fluctuate? Thank you for your help. ## Your blood pressure always fluctuates, it will never hit one set of numbers and remain there. It will vary depending on what you eat, stress levels, activity levels and etc. But the Modafanil can cause blood pressure elevations, since it is a stimulant. It can also cause elevated heart rate, nervousness and i...
1 REPLY UpdatedSWIM told me that Modafinil has now been approved by the FDA for Refractory Depression, also called Treatment Resistant Depression, which would then be covered by Medicare Part D. This type of depression has certain things that a person has to have gone through in order to be considered having it. They are multiple combinations of Anti-depressants, or Anti-depressants and Antipsychotics and Mood Stabilizers without any success in helping the depression, which since 1983 Psychiatrists have had me go though without success. The second is the patient has have to have gone through Electro Shock Therapy, which hasn't helped me either. The last one is having, through major surgery, a device called the Vagus Nerve Stimulator implanted somewhere between my left underarm and breast and broug...
3 REPLIES UpdatedHello I am looking for a free trial of modafinil thank you ## Hello, Greg! How are you? I'm sorry, but this website does not manufacture, prescribe nor sell any medications, it is an information only website, so there are no coupons available here. Additionally, since that is a generic, there most likely wouldn't be any coupon offers available for it, anyway. Has your doctor prescribed it?
1 REPLY UpdatedI have a white oblong pill scored with a 42 on one side and a J on the other ## Hello, Lou Moos! How are you? Yes, that is correct, this tablet is listed by the manufacturer as containing 200mgs of Modafanil. Is there anything else I can help with?
1 REPLY UpdatedWhite big oblong tablet 233 on one side as on other side ## Hi techie, Based on the description provided, the closest match I could find is a white oblong (capsule-shaped) pill marked with "L233" on one side and blank on the other. This particular tablet is identified as Modafinil (100 mg); which is widely used in the treatment of narcolepsy. Manufacturer: Qualitest Pharmaceuticals Is it possible for there to be an "L" in front of those numbers on your pill? You can learn more about this drug on the page for Modafinil Details I hope this helps!
1 REPLY UpdatedI have major depression, which is only one out of 4 Mental Health diagnoses I have that disabled me since 1985. The major depression is resistant to treatment. I have been on so many combinations of anti-depressant, anti-psychotic and mood stabilizers that my Psychiatrists in the past and the one I go to now, did not know what to do. About 5 years ago, as a last resort, I was put on Provigil as a way to help me get motivated and not be depresses. I now take high doses of Modafinil, and my AST blood level for my liver is 40 (should be 10-35, and my ALT is 134 (should be 6-40. My Psychiatrist, PCP, and I have agreed that in my case, where I could do nothing for myself, had countless suicide attempts, and hardly ever got out of bed, quality of life is a priority--not quantity of life. I wa...
2 REPLIES UpdatedAm I safe taking modafinil with metformin ## I didn't find any interactions listed between the two medications, but you should check with your doctor or chemist to be certain. You can learn more Modafanil details here and you can learn more Metformin details here. And if you're diabetic, there may be other complications involved, so you shouldn't take any medication without your doctor's approval. Have they both been prescribed for you? ## Verwon, I would like to thank you for the "Modafanil details" part of your post. I learned a lot from it. I also, once again, saw in writing on information regarding Modafinil, the reason my Doctor prescribes it for me, which is depression. I have been on 1, 2 or even 3 combinations of anti-depressants, anti-psychotics, mood el...
