Mixing Doxycycline With Sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim

Can you mix Doxycycline monohydrate 100mg with Sulfamethoxazole/Trimethoprim DS 800-160mg without any side effects?

All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, the FDA lists the ones for these antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.

They may also be worsened, if both are taken at the same time.

Has your doctor instructed you to take both of them?

Are you on any other medications?
