Missed Period 4 Months In?

Hi! I've been taking minastrin 24e for the past 4 months or so now. I started getting a normal period and then a light one last month but I didn't get any period at all this month. I didn't take my sugar pills because I was told by my gyno I didn't need to so not sure if that has antything to do with it. I take my pills usually in the morning but not perfectly at the same time every day. And this past month I missed one pill so I simply took two in the morning the next day. My boyfriend and I do not use condoms but he does pull out. Is my missed period normal or could it be pregnancy? I've started my new pack for the month so I want to check. The only pregnancy type symptom I've experienced is having to go to the bathroom a lot but that has been an ongoing problem for the past year or so.

Hello, Kristi! How are you?

Your doctor is correct, you don't have to take the placebo pills, you don't have to take anything the week you should have your period.

It isn't likely that your pregnant, unless your doctor sees some reason to be concerned. Some women just occasionally skip periods, while on oral contraceptives and some women stop having them completely.

The FDA lists other possibly side effects as including nausea, headache and weight changes.
