Missed My Sprintec For A Out 5 1/2 Hrs Late

I need help i take my pill at 3 pm and i mis sed it for 5 1/2 hours late... And i took it until i remembered can i be pregnant? Mi concerned.... Plz help

Hello, Michelle! How are you?

You have a window of about 12 hours, before it's even considered a late pill and 24 hours, before it's even considered a missed pill, thus you should be fine, unless your doctor sees some reason to be concerned.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and PMS-like symptoms.

I have taken sprintec for a few months now. I have always taken it on time but today I forgot. I usually take it at 7am and ended up taking it at 10:30 pm tonight. It's my 3rd blue pill for week 2.. If I take it like normal tomorrow at 7am and a few hours later have intercourse should I still be safe
