Missed A Dose

I usually put my Lexapro tablet in my back pocket before taking with dinner. Recently I found a tablet in my pocket which I guess I forgot to take at some point.

The same week I had noticed feeling some of my old symptoms back after feeling ok for some weeks

I'm wondering if missing one tablet could have caused that relapse ? For example, does the tablet I take today help me for the next 24 hours ? Or is its affect less direct and more cumulative over time ?

Hope somebody understands my question !

No, usually missing only one dose shouldn't cause such issues, though I do highly recommend finding a better storage spot for your pills, your back pocket is not idea. The FDA suggests investing in an inexpensive pill carrier/case.

The half-life of this medication is 27 to 32 hours, according to FDA reports, and that is just the amount of time it takes to reach 50% of its efficacy level in your body, so missing just one tablet wouldn't make a lot of difference.

How long have you been taking it and what is the dosage?
