This is my third month taking sprintec. I completely overlooked taking the pill last Saturday and didn't realize until today when I took the pack out of the holder entirely. I've taken every pill at the same time except for last Saturday's. I therefore took two today. Should I be worried that skipping a pill and catching up today caused ovulation?

Well this is the first post I found that matches mine - pulled my card out of blue sleeve to take Sunday and there is last weeks pill - so I took it - sunk because there was no "double up" . So only missed one pill but didn't double up next day :( I am in my 40s and because I can be forgetful my husband still withdrawals :( so

Yes, there is a risk of that, though only a slight one. You can use backup protection for the next 7 days, until you've made sure to take a pill each day, without missing any, so you'd be sure they are preventing ovulation, again.

Otherwise, the only thing you can really do is wait and see if you start your period, when it's due.

Oral OCs may also cause side effects, such as irregular bleeding, headache, irritability and weight gain.
