Mirtazapine Help Please

Hi all, recently I've been given mirtazapine to help me sleep. I also take 40mg citalopram, plus 7.5mg zopiclone, plus 5mg diazepam. My mood swings have changed. I have found I'm being nasty towards my partner who is very caring and supportive but I know I will lose her forever if things don't change. Should I stop taking all this s*** or do I battle on? Hello, Nick! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you're experiencing.

You actually shouldn't be taking both the Citalopram and Mirtazapine, because both can increase serotonin levels, which could cause you to develop serotonin syndrome and that can be fatal, as reported by the FDA.

If the Zopiclone isn't helping you sleep, as it should, then you may need to stop taking it and try something else, rather than doubling up by taking both of the others.

Hi, many thanks for your reply. Yes all have been prescribed by my GP and I do take other med for pain relief. I did think maybe this was the case of my mood swings. It's a sad time as I think I've lost my partner but it now seems that med haven't helped. Many thanks .
