As of July, 2017 they don't. Has anyone else noticed this recently? I've asked my pharmacist about getting a different manufacturer but they can't. Does anyone have any information about another change in the formula? Boy do I wish we could do something to bring back the tablets. ## What are the markings on the capsules you've been receiving? I am sorry, but I need this additional information in order to research this to help you. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, drowsiness, and sedation. Several others have complained about ...
After years of taking fioricet & fiorinal, under drs. care, I have noticed that I have an itch on legs and feet after taking meds when tension migraine hits. I have fear that I may becoming allergic to aspirin and or acetominephine. I don't know what to do (itching not severe) if I can't take meds. when headache occurs. Help! ## Hi, I also itch when on the drug Vicoden. But, When I take them as prescribed instead of randomly my itching goes away- a lot of side affects go away after proper use of the drug. I would let your doctor know about this and ask him/her if this symptom will go away with prescribed use. To relieved my itching I took an allergy pill ( ATARAX ). For My dry mouth: by using BIOTEN. Hope this helps. HI VERNON ! ## dear friend , infact i am also facing the s...
Does anyone have info. re: ordering from the internet for generic fioricet with imprint MIA 110? Didn't have problems until this year with orders -- having tension/migraine type pain and pressure for many years every day; would appreciate any info. possible. Thanks. ## Hi Casey, Depending on whether or not you ordered your medication from a legitimate pharmacy, it can actually be quite common for mistakes to arise. What types of problems are you experiencing with your order exactly? Is something wrong with the actual placement of your order, or are you just referring to the quality of your medication? If you could please post back in more detail that would be great. It may also be wise to discuss those side effects with your doctor, who can suggest some safer treatment options for y...
red and white capsule with; ep1 and 101 printed on both the red and white portions of the capsule. ## Midrin is a vasoconstrictor (shrinks the blood vessels) specifically in the brain for migraines, but has allegedly been blamed for cardiovascular problems, and even the generic form is not available to legal drugstores. I've sworn by this medicine for my migraines the past 30 years, and I'm pretty frightened by this news, because I carry a bottle with me everywhere I go, just in case a migraine strikes. The nasal and under-the-tongue migraine meds prescribed in the last 10 years give me heart palpitations, shortness of breath, etc., but the Midrin did NOT, so I've got to find something, or decide if this life is worth living without a medication that has helped me all of the...
how long will fioricet stay in your system? ## how long does fiorcet stay in yor system ## 24 hours or so, depending on how long you have been taking it and how often. Do you have a prescription for it? ## yes, I have a prescription for it, I've been taking it for a few years. I have to drug test on Monday for a job and I'm not sure if I should stop taking it. ## If you have a prescription for it, there should be no reason to stop taking. Bring your prescription bottle to the drug test so the MRO can get a copy of the label, to prove it is a prescription. If the effects of the drug with interfer with the job duties, it is better that you are not in that position, especially if it is a safety sensative position. ## I have an appt with sub doc Monday, 21 December. My sub doctor is...
Due to medical conditions I was on pain pills for many years. It was used against me as being an addict and my kid was taken. I switched over to saboxone somehow that drug is ok and have my kid back but the court is making me jump hopes for my prior addicition....anyone else face prejudice because of their health issues like this?? ## I have been taking Percs-30mg/avg/day & morphene sulfate-60mg/avg/couple days for approx 6 yrs treating bad pulsating /immobilizing migraines from a bad head injury in a car accident. I kicked the morph 6days ago & now have not had any Percs for almost 30 hrs & have all the classic symptoms...Im havin a ride to hell & back. So, I've been taking the "old tablet", gross, bitter fioricet for unremitting trigeminal Neuralgia for about 6 years off and when my horrible TN kicks in. It has ALWAYS BEEN my miracle drug. Literally, I ran the gamut of headache meds. I'm 54 and have been getting aura, aura loop migraines since I was 16; then Trigeminal Neuralgia, nicely nicknamed, "The Suicide Disease" was found 6 years ago. It brings me to my knees....BBBBUUUT! The new capsule formulation of Fioricet does ZERO for it now, but it does make me vomit copiously with no relief from what used to be my miracle drug. I am on ACA and they don't want to pay for the old formulation, (they even went so far as to tell me that pill form never existed., so my pharmacist ordered it and I brought a pic, sh...
I am taking Tramadol. Is it safe to take this when I take Midrin for migraine headaches. ## I didn't find any interactions, or problems listed between the two medications, but you should always check such information to be safe. Learn more Tramadol details here. If you're relatively new to taking Tramadol, you should be made aware that it is derived from an opiate and can cause side effects that are similar to those of opiates, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have took Benadryl, Midrin 3 hrs ago, can I repeat? Any other suggestions? Headache unbearable??
I used to average about 1-2 migraines a month, so my primary care doctor prescribed me Fioricet. This usually takes care of the migraine within a couple of hours (not without making me feel kind of drunk though). However, the frequency of my migraines has increased and I'm averaging about one a week, so my primary care prescribed me Topamax. I started it even though I was weary of all of its alarming side effects, and I had to stop it due to the crippling anxiety it has caused me. I plan to talk with my doctor again about getting on a different medication, but I was hoping for some advice. Has anyone tried Elavil for preventing migraines, and if so, how were its side effects? I've heard that some of its side effects are dizziness (which concerns me as I have a daily commute) and...
Good Day, I have seen all the different side effects and 2 of the ones my neurologist has not been mentioned in the comments I read. He mentioned tingles in hands and feet, plus functioning slower than normal. Has this happened to anyone else? ## The migranes and headaches are almost not there from migranes daily all day to a mild headache maybe once a month. But I do get a bit of tingling in my feet. Still prefer to deal with the tingling than the migranes and headaches
Iam confused Watson makes a generic Fiornial with codeine? 425 and makes 3546 please help me I have a product ASCOMP with codeine and it just does not knock out the pain! ## Based on my research, Watson pharmaceuticals does make a blue and yellow capsule, identified as Fiorinal with codeine (Aspirin 325 mg + Butalbital 50 mg + Caffeine 40 mg + Codeine Phosphate 30 mg). The imprint on the capsule is: "FIORINAL CODEINE WATSON 956" National Drug Code (NDC): 52544-0956 I'm a bit confused by the wording of your question though. So please do post back if this doesn't fully address your concerns. I hope this info helps! Have you tried anything else for pain management besides this particular medication? ## Is the Watson 956 available in Canada? NDC 52544-0956 ## I too have been...
I'm trying to see if I can pay a cheaper price for two different meds, depakote and clozapine? It would help me out a lot to pay less money. Thank you for taking the time to help me out and answer my questions. ## Hi Matheau, You may wish to consider trying a free pharmacy coupon such as the one MedsChat offers here: Rx Savings Card. It can reportedly save anywhere from 15-75% off the cost of your prescriptions and is recognized at over 60,000 pharmacies across the US. Another option is to ask your doctor or pharmacist about patient assistance programs, where they would cover the cost of your medication if you're financially struggling. However, I believe approval is based upon your annual income and not all drug manufacturers offer such support. Nevertheless, it may be worth lo...
I have tried several drugstores for the fiorinal tablet and cannot find them. I have taken them for several years, the capsule is not effective and neither is the fiorcet. Where can I find the fiorinal (butalbital-Asa-caffeine tablets, 50-325-40) ## Hello, Ann! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. However, from what was recently reported, it appears that they were removed from the market. I haven't been able to discover why, it may just have been due to lack of sales. The only suggestion I can really give you is that you talk to your doctor to see if there is an alternative that you can try. Does anyone else have any other ideas? ## Reported Where? I take the Brand Fiorinal with Codeine #3 and have not been able to get script filled for couple mo...
I have chronic migraines,7/24/365. This condition is kept to a manageable level by Lyricaand Effexor. However, both of these drugs have been causing serious side effects to, like short term memory problems, shortness of breath, and more. I am very sensitive to drugs in general, and have tried other meds with little success. Botox has been suggested as an alternative . Has anyone had e perience with Botox or any other med which would be better? Thanks! ## The most likely culprit in this case is Lyrica, since it is an anticonvulsant that can also help with other conditions, the FDA does warn that it can cause memory issues, dry mouth, dizziness, mood changes, and weight changes. However, Botox can also cause side effects, such as administration site reactions, swelling, redness, and atrop...

I can no longer get blue Westward 787 Fioricet. I bought Vantage 2355 but it makes me feel awful and does not help my headache, but creates a more intense one. What to do? Is there another pill similar to Westward 787? ## Hello Bird, Unfortunately there is no way to know for certain which generic will work best for you until you keep testing out different ones. Different manufacturers use different "inactive" ingredients, which may cause reactions similar to the one you've experienced with the generic Fiorocet from Vantage. Have you tried the generic Fioricet from Mikart Inc.? They manufacturer an oblong white pill with the imprint MIA 110. It is scored down the middle and blank on the other side. This pill contains (325 mg) of Acetaminophen, + (50 mg) of Butalbital + (40 mg...
I'm a young girl of 33 years old using proxin 500 for migraine relief. Is there any health risk? ## @Latoof, Every medication carries the risk of side effects. However, not everyone experiences them. Only by working closely with your doctor through trial and error can you determine if this drug is right for you. How long have you been taking it for? Please post back if there's any information that I may be able to help with.
Normally my daughter takes 1500 milligrams (three 500 mg tabs) of Depakote 2 x per day, however today the pharmacy gave me an eye dropper and "LIQUID" form. The label reads in milliliters so I do not know how many drops to give her? ## Did they not put an amount on the prescription? The should have provided you with an appropriate amount to give her, so you don't have to convert it yourself. If they didn't, you should contact them and ask why they did not do so. No one online can give you answer without knowing the dosage of the liquid, and other specifics. This medication is most commonly used to help prevent seizures. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, and weight changes. However, if you can post back...
