I have suffered from migranes for so many years. The only medication that worked has been ergotamine-caffeine. I know that some pharmacies still have it in stock. Where can I buy it? I have a prescription from my doctor. Thanks a lot! ## Hi cara, As far as finding a local pharmacy to fill your prescription, I listed below a "pharmacy-locator site", that uses your zip code to find nearby pharmacies within a given mile range: pharmacylocator.unarxcard.com Phone numbers and addresses are included in the list after you verify your zip code; I would suggest calling a number of them to see who may be able to fill your prescription. You may have to consider looking into online pharmacies as a last resort if you can't get it filled locally. Please post back if you need any informati...

Small round white tablet, with "RI" printed over "62". I suspect it's my (generic) sumatriptan pill, but if so it's my last one so I have nothing to compare it with. ## Betty, your suspicion is correct - RI 62 is the 50 mg Sumatriptan Succinate manufactured by Ranbaxy. (NDC Code 63304-0098-19). Hope this helps! ## Thank you very much!

BUT/APAP/CAF w/ CODEIN usually provides migraine relief, but too often with nausea, vomiting. Any recommendations to help w/ nausea/vomiting? ## Have you consulted your doctor? The Codeine is a narcotic and they are very well known for causing nausea and vomiting. It can sometimes be mitigated by making sure you don't take it on an empty stomach, but you should talk to your doctor to discover what would be the best solution for you to use.

Does anyone know if Migraplex will work for migraines? ## MigraPlex is a natural supplement that contains Feverfew and Magnesium. They claim that it helps with headaches, but this is not actually medically proven. Are there any other questions or comments?

I just got the no-name Apap Dich Isometh filled at Walmart. They said they just got it in. I haven't picked it up, yet. I actually had a Midrin prescription at another pharmacy valid until May 2012, and Walmart said they thought they could transfer the script without the doctor rewriting it. Worst case, I'll have my doctor rewrite the script. Yea! and good luck! I'll report back in a day or two as to whether it turned out as good as it sounds! ## I promised to report back in a day or two. Success. I was able to get a 60-pill supply of ISOMETH/APAP DICHLORCAP MAC from Walmart. It looks to me like Wal-mart took it upon themselves to call my doctor and have the script rewritten. When I had called about it a couple of days ago, when I said Isometh, the tech knew exactly what I w...

I recently went to the ER with a hemiplegic migraine. I have inherited these from my Grandmother and was diagnosed 3 years ago after suffering horrible headaches since my youth.I use tramadol and fioricet to control them and usually end up once a year in ER for shot of Nubane(SP) I told the ER Dr I could not have Imitrex as I had allergic reactions in the past. She gave me the shot anyway. I was on the couch for 2 weeks after the shot unable to walk talk or eat. I returned to work as I had no more vacation or sick time left. I worked a full week and then was put on medical leave by my supervisor. There were times I could not comprehend (I am a medical secretary in Physical therapy dept at the same hospital where shot was given) where I was or what I was there for. I also wet my pants, h...

Can I take these two with cozaar. Do they have serious side effects? ## Hi Susan, Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between any of the three medications you mentioned. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. There are however food related interactions with Cozaar. Information that I've gathered states the following: "GENERALLY AVOID: Moderate-to-high dietary intake of potassium, especially salt substitutes, may increase the risk of hyperkalemia in some patients who are using angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). ARBs can promote hyperkalemia through inhibition of angiotensin II-induced aldosterone secretion. Patients with diabetes, he...

recently when I take my Fioricet w/ Cod I get REALLY drowsy. I never had this problem in the past. Could it be the fact that I am now Taking the generic version? ## I have same problem Take a nap in morning and need another in afternoon ## Yes, there can be difference in the amount of the active ingredients in the generics, as compared to the name brands. The fluctuations are slight and many people have no problems with them, but some people are sensitive to medications and experience new side effects. It should wear off in a few weeks, as your body adjusts to the medication, but if it doesn't, please contact your doctor. They may need to prescribe it for you as brand medically necessary to prevent such issues. Is there anything else I can help with?

can you smoke a fioricet? ## It is not safe to do this with any tablets. Medications should only be used in the manner that they are intended to be used. Trying to break them down and use them in a different manner is very dangerous. Tablets contain fillers and not all of them are meant to be broken down by the human body, they are normally just expelled as waste. However, if you try to smoke, snort, or inject them, you are placing these substances in your body in a manner in which it cannot process them out. This can create blockages, which when snorted/smoked can result in respiratory arrest. Are there any other comments or questions?

the pill is a white pill with red caps on the ends leaving white stripe in center. TH printed on left side. others say ty hard to read. not in this case. can clearly see white TH italic print. red caps can be removed. ## Excedrin "T"ension "H"eadache ## Actually, the Excedrin Tension Headache products use ETH as their marking. That said, I can't find anything listed for this, but along the same lines, with this description and marking, I suspect it may be a generic tension headache product, or a store brand, since they would not be allowed to use the same proprietary logo. Is anyone else familiar with this product?

I used to get a headache or pain reliever medicine in Tijuana in the 1980s that worked wonders for a friend who got migraines. It was not available in the USA as far as I know. I remember little about it except that it came in a cardboard box about 2" X 4" X 1/2" and I think the name was fairly long, maybe 4 syllables or more. I think it came in white tablets that were fairly large, though I am not sure that recollection is accurate. I think I would recognize the name if I saw or heard it but I just cannot recall it from my memory. Thanks so much for any help/ ## I'm sorry, but that's really not much information to go on, there are many products on the market that match such a description and since it was coming out of Mexico, there is a large list of medications it ...

Searching for Trximet coupons ## The manufacturer does have a $50 savings off, which you can use once on a prescription, it also enrolls you in their program to receive other special savings offers on this medication. You can find it by visiting their webpage at Treximet.com and you'll find the link posted on the lower left side of the page. It can only be used to cover your out of pocket expense, so if you have a $30 copay, then the coupon would just cover that $30 and if you are on any state or federally funded insurance program, it can't be used, at all. Is there anything else I can help with?
