1 REPLY UpdatedUrine screen in ER shows benzodiazepine 45 minutes after 5mg IV Midazolam given in ambulance. Can it get in urine that fast? ## In many cases, giving them by IV kind of speeds up the process, so they can be detected much faster than they would if they were taken orally. Learn more Midazolam details here. Your body and how fast it processes medications can also play a role. Why did they give it in the ambulance?
