Mexico pharmacies are faking a NUMBER of pills. A HUGE AMOUNT OF THEM are taking bottles of other medications and putting fake stickers on the bottles and selling them as other medications.
For example, they take stickers of bottles of flexeril/Cyclobenzaprine and sell them as ambien! I brought a bottle back and had them tested by labs. They tested for what I thought! Cyclobenzaprine!
They tried to sell me codeine, which was in fact tramadol! They also tried selling fake lortab, vicoden, etc. I didn't see those pills as I did not need them, but the stickers looked the same. The fake stickers look just like this pic.
They keep a lot of fakes under the counter in a basket. So if they pull something out of a basket, not in a case, BEWARE. Know what you are getting in mexico, because I know for a fact that they are selling fake medications! It surprised me because they have a number of real medications. Find name brands like pfizer and make sure they have imprints (even though these can be faked too) and make sure they are still in the box. A lot of the main fakes out there are the hard to get ones like Ambien and a lot of fakes are in bottles that are sealed.

Thank you for keeping us all informed about that. You're absolutely right though about a lot of these fake international pharmacies trying to cash in on desperate patients, who are willing to risk everything ordering prescriptions from within the US. And to be honest, traveling to Mexico for a prescription doesn't sound like a much better experience either.
I'm sorry you had to go through that, but at the same time, I'm glad you were at least able to get the pills lab tested and hopefully learn from the situation. The price you pay for a prescription not only guarantees that you are getting what you paid for, but also in the event that you experience complications, you can always turn to your doctor for help.
