Metropolol 100mger

Mydoctor wants me to take this instead of a generic for it. It is very much more expensive than the generic. What is the difference. Thank you for your answer. .

This is a generic, but it is a time released formulation and yes, they are usually more expensive than the regular release formulations.

However, having the medication release slowly over a certain time period, can give better control of blood pressure and cardiac conditions.
