I had miscarried with a retained substance in my womb which was later expelled after 1month, 3weeks. Expulsion was accompanied with a bad smell, but I had an ultrasound after the expulsion and ma womb was empty. I will like to treat any possibility of infection with metronidazole and doxycyline because I used tampons on some occasions during the expulsion. I have some left over metronidazole from when I was being treated for H Pylori. For some reason I always get a UTI if I forget to pee immediately after intercourse. I've had a least four UTI's so I'm almost certain that's what it is. Would this medication treat it? I really need some relief. Have been experiencing abdominal pains which are usually happening when im expecting my periods, i went to the clinic and a UA was done. I was told that my urine has some infection, i was given IV, doxytet and bio-metronidazole to take twice a day for 14days. Pregnancy check was done on the same day and I did one today it came back negative. The problem now is that i haven't got my periods and i had unprotected intercourse on the 20 May14.
