Metronidazole And Barbiturates Ok Together?

I currently am taking Metronidazole and have a cavity and can't get to the dentist till next week. I have taken Tylenol but it still hurts. This medication says to not take any barbiturates. If I take a pain pill for my teeth what will the outcome be for my infection that I am trying to cure.
