Metronidazole After Plan B Pill With Positive Pregnancy Test

Two weeks ago I took the plan B pill 20 minutes after unprotected intercourse. A week later I ended up with BV (doc said the pill threw off my ph balance) so she gave me metronidazole to take for 7 days. I took a pregnancy test on the 4th day of being on the antibiotics and it's positive. Could the pill and the antibiotics be causing a false positive or am I probably pregnant?

The chances of getting an incorrect result on a pregnancy test are very small, so it is more likely that you are actually pregnant.

Have you consulted a doctor to have a professional blood test done?

Metronidazole hasn't been known to cause a false positive, according to the most recent FDA reports. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and diarrhea.
