Metronidazole Absessed Tooth Swelling
UpdatedWhen will Metronidazole reduce the swelling in my mouth or even eliminate it completely?

Did your doctor or dentist prescribe it for you?
It may not properly treat such an infection and, even if it does, if the swelling is due to a dental issue, it will not correct that problem, so you'll still need to see a dentist to have it rectified.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, and diarrhea.
