Metoprolol Induced Coughing

Can Metoprolol cause coughing as a known side effect? I am advised to use Metoprolol for my blood pressure, but now I am suffering from asthmatic issues.

Metoprolol is a beta blocker that's used to treat hypertension and yes, it can cause those types of side effects in some people that take it, though it doesn't happen very often.

Unfortunately, once a beta blocker causes those side effects, they don't usually go away and the person generally has to switch to a different medication.
