Metoprolol Tartrate 25mg And Multivitamins

I am on Metoprolol Tartrate 25mg twice daily for the past month and I seem to be feeling weak on some days. It is prescribed to me for sinus tachycardia. Someone recommended that I start taking vitamins to help restore my energy levels. With that said, would it be safe to do so with this medication? I am thinking of taking a supplement containing Calcium 100mg, Magnesium 100mg & Potassium 15mg.

There are no problems listed between using the vitamins with the Metoprolol, but you should check with your doctor first. Magnesium and Potassium can both have an effect on your heart and blood pressure, if they are too low, or too high, which means that in your case, a careful balance must be maintained.

This, it would be best if your doctor did a blood test to check your levels of them, before you supplement.

Is there anything else I can help with?
