Metoprolol Er Tab Suc 100mg

I have been taking metoprolol 50mg twice a day. My new prescription is for metoprolol ER 50 mg once a day. Are they the same dosage or is this a reduced amount??

Which is the dosage you are asking about? You say 100mgs in the post title, but 50mgs in the post itself.

Obviously going from 50mgs twice a day to 50mgs once a day would be a dosage adjustment, but the ER is an extended release formulation to try to enable you to get better blood pressure or cardiac control.
