Metoprolol Er Succinate 50mg Tabs

i've taken metoprolol er succinate 50 mg tabs( round white tablet side 1 logo 831) for five days for heartbeat and am having side effects. Is it safe to stop taking after only five days?

What type of side effects?

If you've only been taking it for 5 days, it is completely normal to experience side effects and it may take some time for them to taper off as your body gets used to the medication.

I have been taking metropolol succinate er 50mg for 2 weeks for atrial flutter and afib, my bp has gone high since taking this med. I was taking amlodipine before he put me on metoprolol. My other bp medicine is diovan 320mg and lasix 10 mg. Also cumadin 400mg daily. I'v had mitral valve replacement 4yrs ago and afib surgery at same time, plus ablation in 1996.

Since being removed from verapamil HC SR and taking metoprolol er succinate 50 mg, I have been very tired and sometimes can't stay awake. Is this a side affect
of the new pills. I'm also taking 400mg magnesium oxide for the first time.
