Metoprolol Er 100mg Did Not Work

Dr started me on this and after two days my blood pressure has not gone down, can I double the dose

No, you definitely should not double the dosage on your own.

While Metoprolol does successfully help lower blood pressure for many people, it doesn't work immediately. It tends to lower it at a gradual, steady rate and it may take a full 4 to 6 weeks, before it reaches its full effectiveness level in your body and you know whether or not it is working for you.

2 days is far too short of a time period to expect to see big results.
