If you are taking the Metoprolol to treat high blood pressure and/or a cardiac condition, I'd advise proceeding with caution.

The reason I am saying that is because most Nyquil formulations contain antihistamines and many of them can cause elevations in blood pressure and heart rate.

Thus, you should check with your doctor first, to see which one is safe for you to use.
