Like to find private Dr in Southwest Florida to prescribe 40 mg tabs..Needs 100 mgs daily so far and is still SUFFERING badly !!! My mother was prescribed methadone for her Neuropathy while living in Florida. Since then she has moved back to Michigan by necessity. She left her job to move to Georgia with her husband who was a military vet. He got OxyContin from the V.A. Hospital in Atlanta for his back issues. With her having no insurance he used to share with her. Now he's dead and we moved her back here to Michigan. She still has no insurance except Medicare A&B. she's almost out of meds and the pain she will experience is excruciating. The docs she has seen here all want her to jump thru hoops to make sure she's not a drug addict. That means, it will be easy for someone to tell if you switch them. I live in the Flathead Valley in Montana and have been going to the most horrible pain clinic for the past 3 years. Out of no were I have been accused of selling my meds and now have to come in once a month for office visits and U/As. I can not stand this callous treatment nor afford the cost of this anymore. Need help finding out what this small round white pill is. It has a score on one side and the other side has a 54 on top of 25 (it could be 64 on top). ## This tablet is manufactured by West-Ward Columbus, and they list it as containing 5mgs of Methadone, which is most commonly used to treat addiction. I am 43 and had a laminectomy 6 years ago. After surgery i was referred to pain management and prescribed 50mg of methadone a day / 30 mg roxicodone every 8 hrs. / and 2 mg of xanax every 12 hrs. These combinations were just written to be therapeutic and brought my pain down to a level of 4 out of 10. However this was very expensive and not being able to work I could not afford to go every month. I now have medicare and disability so I need to find a local Dr. who will accept medicare & is taking new patients. My last MRI was 4 years ago. I have been clean from methadone for 3 weeks now, after 10 days I started feeling a lot better. Withdrawals were not too bad, just weak and no energy. I was on them for 3 years and tapered down to 4mg before I completely quit. I feel pretty good id say. But was wondering if i were to take my norco prescription, will i get sick all over again? How long should I wait? Or if i take a methadone will i get sick? ## If you start taking Norco they will probably not make you sick until you stop taking them. Why are you taking the Norco if you are feeling pretty good. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. Is it like water or thicker ## From what little information I was able to find, it is noted to be made from a syrup base by many manufacturers; meaning that it would be a thicker consistency than water. A liquid formulation ingredient list may look like this: Methadone Hydrochloride (HCL) BP 1mg/1mL Glucose syrup Green S (E142) Tartrazine (E102) Sunset Yellow (E110) Parabens (preservative) Ethanol Trace chloroform water. There are other mixtures as well that use different syrup bases like Sorbitol syrup or Unpreserved syrup. My Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer - spindle cell sarcoma. They have given her 6 months to live. Right now the cancer has spread to her upper rib, right hip, lungs and brain. She also has a clogged artery. She wanted to spend her last months at home so we set up hospice there to care for her during these next months. They started her on morphine to control the pain on .25ml and raised it to .5ml. She started forgetting things and becoming anxious. She forgot one day to tell the nurse she was in pain and waited too long. That night it took a while to get her pain under control. Is taking 4methadone 10mgs the same as a 40mg wafer? It doesn't seem to last as long or as strong. ## If they are regular release, then they should work the same. However, medications can be funny, so that might not be true of Methadone. Have you checked with your doctor? but need to know how long to wait before i can start taking subitex ## You really should be under a doctor's supervision, both the withdrawals and the use of these medications can be very dangerous. Subutex is normally not started until the withdrawals have started to affect you.
