I have been taking 30mg a day of methadone for 6 weeks and wanted to switch to percocet and changed script now take 45mg of percocet a day. How long will it take for me to stop having withdrawls symptoms from methadone? I am feeling sick even while I am taking the percocet. Is it possible to still go through methadone withdrawls even while you are taking the percocet? ## You should not be switching from methadone to percocet which is very addictive also. If your Dr. can perscribe suboxen try that. I take about 150mgs of percocet30mgs a day and I want to know if I take methadone will it help with the withdrawl & shakes of the stopping the percocet dose every day.. I have used methadone to come off of percocets before, but it was at a way lower dose.. I currently go to the methadone clinic in Knoxville but told them I had drug history so I could get methadone and its just b/c it is the only thing that works for my pain, nothing else works b/c I seem to not be able to take enough of the roxys and morphine but can take 30 mgs of methadone a day and still hurt but am able to live a functional life . How long do these pills last? I'm on 100mgs of pink liquid methadone from a clinic & I also got the tablets, so do I take all 10 pills at once if a 100mgs??? I don't know. You also can't ask a doctor for a specific medication, because they will view that as drug seeking behavior. If you require one or more of these narcotics on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. I tried to switch from methadone to suboxone but failed. I have been on methadone for 5 years...I am at 30mg. I took what should have been last dose of methadone on Friday morning, Saturday I was anxious, uncomfortable and a bit achey...but it was tolerable. Throughout Saturday night and Sunday morning, however, I felt terrible. Diarrhea, aching, stomachs cramps, sweats, blurry visions, anxiety, etc....I didn't get a suboxone script because the doctor wanted me to come in to him so he could give it to me there on Monday morning. I go to methadone clinic, if I take zanaflex will it show on my drug screens? ## Yes sir(or mam lol) benzo but the muscle relaxer n it won't cause it's just flexirile(however u spell it). But, also b aware that there's a little pill out there that looks just like xanaflex, and ppl throw it out to ppl saying it us xanaflex, (Taking advantage of ppl) but, it's really just a muscle relaxer that's very relaxing with maybe a slight nerve med in it...but NO narcotic properties. I have been taking 120 mg of methadone for approximately 5 years. My husbands job transferred us from Florida to Louisiana where I found a pretty good pain doc. He is now running scared and wants to take me off of methadone. Methadone has given me a good quality of life; I am able to work and be a productive member of society. My doctor is unwilling or unable to assist me in finding a new doctor who will continue my meds. Oh yeah, I have been the route of blocks and injections and gotten little if any relief. I got liquid methadone and it does not taste like cherry`s, it taste like liquid Benadril & looks like it too! It`s light pink in color. Anyone know? Please let me know!!! Thanks ## Hi Brooke! The liquid methadone doesn't always taste like cherry. They add water 2 it and that interferes with the taste. It all depends on how much water they add. The more water they add, the more different. it will taste. You're still getting the same amount of methadone. ## P.S. saw a jacket in the park, which was still there when I walked back through the park 2 hours later. It was a nice jacket, and since the park office was closed, I looked through the pockets 1st to see if there was something with ID. None, but there was a small brown bottle. The cap had "The Original" inscribed during manufacturing, on the top. Inside the bottle was a liquid, with what appeared to be a white pill, which somehow hadn't dissolved. What is this? So I just took my dose of liquid methadone and drank 3 cups of Grapefruit juice. A couple hrs later I pretty much blacked out on and off for a few hours. Has anyone else have this happen to them? I am withdrawing off of methadone. Ii have been tapering down from 80 mg to about 5 to 8 mgs a day. I take gabapentin for restless leg that started when i got down to 10 mgs. But doctor wants to taper me off of gaba b4 i finished methadone. I dont know why he is doing this but i did get clonodines .1 mg once a day at night from him since i hav to hurry up with methadone now cause actually i had to increase gaba for it to continue working and now i have even less gaba. suffering from cronic headaches and neck pain due to a variety of events ## looking for a new dr. who will be willing to give me the same meds as I was taking before I moved here, they are narcotics that I take on a regualar basis for headaches and neck pain, hydro codone 10 to be exact, where I came from it is tough to find a dr. who will help you, how will I start over in Portland to find a helpful Dr.? ## I'd suggest looking for someone that specializes in pain management and making sure that they get a full copy of your medical records from your prior doctor. Round white pill that is blank andscored in half on 1 side only and on the other it has asc 117. Manufacture:malli. Closes I could find was a methadone but the numbers were not same it was 116. The 1 in question is 117 ## ASC is not a Mallinckrodt logo, that's the logo used by Major Pharmaceuticals. And as to one with ASC 117, I am not finding a listing for this in any of the U.S. databases. Where did you find it? Has anyone using methadone for pain control found Roxa brand less efective than mallinckro for controlling there pain. Since taking the Roxa brand my pain has come back, I did talk with the pharmacy about this and she said most likley a major flare up. Does anyone know anything about this? It just seem wired to me because my pain started 3 days after the switch. Thanks ## Yes it is possible that your body can react differently to the same medication from different manufacturers. what is the difference between the round and the rectangle 10 mg methadone pills? ## Probably just the manufactured, however, I can't really give you any specific details, without knowing the markings on the tablets.
