Help plz.. I've been on liquid methadone for over 3 yrs and gained 50 lbs. and still gaining weight; my question is if I take phentermine from my doctor will it help me lose weight or is it a lost cause due too the methadone ????? ## Hello, Muffin! I have severe anxiety and ptsd why cant i get perscribed xanax ## Hello, Bob! How are you? If you're in a clinic being treated with Methadone for an addiction issue, then doctors are going to be very leery of prescribing you any medication that also has to the potential to be addictive, which would include Xanax and all other benzodiazepines. What else have you tried to treat your issues? There are several antidepressants that can be used to successfully treat these conditions, which don't carry the risk of being habit forming.

I'm looking to stop using Methadone. I currently use 60mg methadone and was wondering how many mg of MSIR i would need to take a day so that I do not get uncomfortable. To whom it may concern, I was in a serious motorcycle accident at the end of 2013. I went to my doctor to b checked out and I was in such excruciating PAIN. My life was changed and filed with pain and I've got a Great DR. who has helped get my life back to as close to manageable. I took 6 methodone 10 mg pills last thursday around 12pm. I only did them a total of 4 times in the last 2 months. Im semi active. Im 5'9 n 205 pds. Will it be out of my system today by 2pm?? I have a instant urine i have to take. ## Hi Ron, you SHOULD be fine if it's been 8 days. The half life of Methadone can be up to 59 hours, so if you multiply it by 2 (118 hours) and then divide that by 24 (hours in a day) you end up with approx 5 days. How did it go for you?

It is not advisable that you mix them, unless your doctor has prescribed them and stated that it's safe for you to do so. Both of these medications can cause depression of the central nervous system, which could cause dangerously lowered heart rate, blood pressure and shallow breathing. Both also carry the risk of being habit forming. Is there anything else I can help with?

I left TX after a bad divorce. I have been on Methadone maintenance almost 6 years. I went to a clinic in Huntsville 1 year then a clinic in Houston about 4.5 years. I had one positive U/A about 1.5 years ago but it was wrong. They have a high turn around rate and a couple of people were fired for drug use. A new nurse, I never had seen before and did not know her name. when I came out she said she would hold my urine. I told her we always keep with it until we can seal it, then sign over it. She demanded she hold it. I was NOT happy. After that I had to wait for my dose and my 3 week take homes. (It was 3 weeks instead of 4 because I was at 170 mg and you must be 150 for 4 week take homes) After that 10 or 15 minutes I walked out and she was still standing in the hallway holding my uri...

Hello, I am a French student who just returned in University to study philosophy at 35 years old, after a rather chaotic path. I am a 45 yr old female who has chronic pain. 18 yrs ago I was an addict ans was on methadone treatment for 7 yrs in seattle. I moved to Idaho and detoxed off my program for 3+yrs. This has been going of for so long now. I found that the only recouse we have is to complain to your State Board of Pharmacy. Every state has one. Its the pharmacies that are withholding. Not the DEA. The DEA does NOT put any amounts on the pharms either. Maybe their distributor does, but not the DEA.
