I'm looking for a compassionate doctor that will prescribe methadone in the New Orleans metro/Metairie area. Currently being treated at the UMC Medical Center in New Orleans for HIV. I'm prescribed Stribild, Adderall & Buprenorphine but I want to switch from Buprenorphine to Methadone. Please help!!! ## Hello, Nolaboy! How are you? Methadone can work, it has worked for me. I haven't had opiates in over 10 years and have no craving at all for it, Thank God! It has worked and I no longer need or want opiates, but here I am over a decade down the line a slave to a chemist, after my partner died suddenly, with an aneurysm 4 years ago. The Dr seems to be just happy im stable. I dont have to go to a chemist daily. When I lost my partner they let me pick it up twice a week. And because im clean I do have that little bit more trust with my workers. At my last appt. I told them I want off it, my wee lassies 10 now. I want off it before she finds out. Im on 65ml which isnt a lot I know ppl on 150 ml but next script im going down 2ml lol n anno I wont feel it at all. I got down to 1n a half ml before...n my Mam had it me...

I have been taking methadone (75mg day) and morphine 60mg day) for about 10 yrs. Pain man . prescribed. How long after taking my last one, will a urine test show negative? ## Approximately 4 to 5 days, after the last use. Doctor is cutting me off of methadone 10mg, 50mg/day due to regulations... what a surprise! I'm in the state of Kentucky (40977). I am an hour from Lexington and an hour from Knoxville, TN. I get two weeks worth and then I'm on my own, said they'd refer me and send records to whoever, recommended Tennova. I have been treated for chronic back pain for about ten years and have a spotless record of compliance. I have no insurance so have to pay the bills out of pocket. We have a copy of required drug tests for the out of custody parent. She is on a methadone treatment and gets tested at a clinic randomly. Most test results have come back negative but one says "awaiting results". Is the test result gleamed from a urine sample, cheek swab or blood test? How many substances does the test screen? Could you call the clinic or lab and simply ask what it means? Hi my name is DJ and I'm on a methadone clinic now but they don't give pills or liquid for monthly and my work now travels outta state . ## If you're taking it for addiction treatment, then a private doctor cannot prescribe it to you for such treatment. That can only be done in a clinic setting, by a doctor that is specially trained in addiction treatment. And they are required to give some take homes, but not necessarily a full months worth. In 21 days I went down from 165 to 30 mg a day. This past Wednesday I took my last 30 mg. I'm waiting for insurance approval to pay for my Suboxone. It's been 5 days and I feel like hell. I am looking for a doc that will prescribe methadone in macomb co mi. I have been on all kinds of opiates for going on 12 years. I have tons of records. All started with two herniated discs and a failed surgery, etc. I am legit, work, kids, have a good life, but am having trouble finding an understanding doc that will write methadone and a breakthrough med. I am a current opiate dependent. 62mg of methadone maintenance/day. I have been only wishing to get off of this stuff, just as everyone else. I am feeling very hopeful. Just a month ago, I asked my doc to give me adderall for my ADHD. I was diagnosed with this as a child and used to take adderall long ago and thru my 20's and no abuse. I have not taken adderall for about 10 yrs now. So, I begin taking it. The day I got my script, I forgot to take my methadone take home that morning and it was now 5pm and just taking my 30mg adderall. Within the hour I feel energized. I have been going to the methadone clinic for a year and I have never failed a drug test. The last drug test I took came up postitive for hydrocodone. I haven't took anything besides methadone and clonidine. I could only pee a little bit for the drug test. Could only having a small amount of urine cause a false positive?
