I was on methadone for 2 years at 60 mg. Stopped cold turkey, was in hell for 5 weeks. Please stay away from this devil. My opinion is it's the worst drug on the planet. I am in a suboxone program and have been since last March. I have been taking otc sleep aids for well over ten years, but NOTHING else. I get urine tested every Tuesday at my doctor. I have never failed a drug test before. The nurse asked what medications I was taking and I told her just my suboxone and tylenol pm... She said it showed positive for methadone and antidepressants. I was in shock! I am so careful that I have suffered thru two horrible colds (bronchitis once) and refused to take any cold meds. I called the office later to tell the nurse that I did take melatonin a few nights ago, thinking maybe that was it since it was the only different thing I've taken. Then went to my liver lung and brain. I take methadone 10, Oxycodone 5 and after January 1st,2013 I won't be able to get my hydrocodone 750`s. I have constant pain. You might be able to just get the lower dose and take an additional Acetaminophen tablet, or half of a table with it. Have you checked with your doctor, yet? They will be able to let you know if it is safe for you to do that. ## Have you considered alternative treatments? Try the Jim Kelmun baking soda and molasses recipe for pain reduction. I took 80 mg off methadone on Sunday morning at 1:30 am and have a urine test on Friday at 11am.... Will it be out of my system ## And then another 120mg on Sunday at 4pm and have the same urine test on Friday at 11am so that's a total of 200 mg will it be out of my system By Friday...... I took 15 milgrams of methadone after not taking any in over 2 years am I ok to take a piece of a suboxson ## The answer to this may be different for each individual (as far as how long to wait), but if it were me I'd probably try to wait 3 days for methadone to be excreted, due to it's long half-life. Other patients on here may feel differently though. Based on your situation I have a feeling you'll be alright to take suboxone sooner than later, but if in doubt I would still encourage you to contact your prescribing doctor first, just to be on the safe side. From 2009 thru 2012 I was prescribed methadone and roxicodone for chronic back pain. Which was very effective. The clinic closed down and I've found it difficult to find a doctor who will prescribe methadone. My current doc gives me five 30mg roxicodone a day but I don't get the pain relief I had when taking methadone and the occasional roxicodone for breakthrough pain. I have been on Methadone for 8 years! My first few months in the methadone clinic a came up "dirty" due to being scared of withdrawal but since than I gave had almost 8 years of clean time. I have "earned" all 6 of my take homes( in PA your only allowed 6 at a time) and have had them for years now. In November,2012 I get a call from my counselor telling me that methadone didnt show in my urine, I was current on 48mgs. I also had an UTI at the time and was getting over Bronchitis and pneumonia, so I was on medications I normally wouldn't have been taking. Are there many people on this board that are going to a private Dr for pain meds? It seems almost every one is forced to go to a pain clinic and these clinics are horrible with all their rules and the way they treat chronic pain sufferers that are in need of pain medicine. And even worse is a methadone clinic. ## Not all pain clinics are horrible, but yes, some of them are and Methadone clinics are not intended to treat pain patients, they specialize in treating drug addiction. It's a breath of fresh air to read when people get off of the methadone with ease, but I do hope I get a response. I am in the same boat as everyone. I'm 36 and up until I started MMT I was genetically TINY, never weighing over 110lbs. I have gained 85 lbs. 85!!! I went from being a pretty girl to having zero self esteem. I was recently released from my Dr. I had a urine test on Dec. 17th and apparently they said I failed for xanax I don't take xanax. I am on methadone, percocet, valiums, neurontin, exium, premarin, combivent respimat, advair, oxygen 24-7 and sometimes I take extra strength acetaminophen. They claimed they sent it off to a lab and that came back positive but not till January 6th. Isn't the urine supposed to be tested within 24 hours of me giving it to them. I am 51 years old and have no reason for this to be happening. ## Xanax is a benzo and you are on Valium which is a benzo. He can't tell if it is xanax or valium....only a benzo. I'm in a program in Albany that wants me to drop out of school to go inpatient. The director assistant director and clinical supervisor if staff have continuously ignored my complaints about my counselor and for months ignored my cries for continued mental health services. They even forced me to discontinue mental health and medical medication that I'd been on for years without looking into my history and making the appropriate referaks. Now they have fabricated a bunch of lies in an attempt to justify their inadequate services and protect this counselor. Many Federal Regulation violations have accused and I'm being detoxed at ten milligrams a week after having been on 175 foalmost two years. I'm liviv and scared ...what do I do?

Can I use targinact while on methadone? Will it throw me into withdrawal? I usually take oxycodone for spinal pain (cancer), but targinact has naloxone in it and oxycodone, so can I use targinact? ## Yes, if you are not in full withdrawal when you take it, it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, according to NIH reports, which may include life threatening seizures.
