Methadone Treatment

I need a clinic or doctor for methadone treatment that takes Medicare and mutual of Omaha supplement and is a pain management doctor in the Tyler. Lngview area

Hello, Carolyn! How are you doing?

You actually can't get both, so to speak. If you require Methadone treatment for drug addiction, you'll have to go to a treatment clinic, regular doctors aren't allowed to prescribe it for that….which brings me full circle to the other, if you require it for pain, a pain management specialist can't provide addiction treatment with it, it's basically one or the other.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Additionally, I have no way of knowing what insurance any doctors or clinics accept, what any private doctor prescribes or etc.

Do you currently have a PCP that may be able to refer you to someone? That might be the easiest way to do it.

Can anyone suggest a place in that area?
