Methadone To Subutex Tomorrow

Methadone maintenance really worked well for me, in 27 years no relapses, turned my life around! Now I'm ready to put it all behind me, and methadone is so hyper controlled now. Had my last methadone dose of 27mg yesterday at 8:30am, plan to switch to subutex tomorrow. SO scared of withdrawal of any kind. Can you give me some positive encouragement??

Did you doctor tell you to start taking it that soon?

You can't start Subutex too soon, because doing so could cause you to go into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, you have to be in full withdrawal, before taking it.

Have you started taking it, yet? If so, how are you doing?

Be very cautious. Methadone has a long have life. I would taper down to 0mg then wait 72hrs.sounds aggressive but I e been there.a nightmare
