They want to prescribe it to me for bad pain as insurance won't cover OxyContin or Codeine products anymore.

Yes. By all means..being only on methadone to stay clean IS going to save your life not to mention being able to function normally..jobs etc.won't have to EVER chase illicit drugs again if you are serious about staying clean. Don't worry..because I have been on it 35 plus years. No issues being normal if you have made your mind up to stay off the boy forevermore. I have been fine. Now 67. Dr. says it's kept me far younger since your heart rate stays lower.

EAT a healthy diet, drink water like crazy, and forget about that old life. Really been a new man. GOOD LUCK to you and family will be blessed having you around now knowing you're doing right thing living clean. Make SURE the Dr. puts you on high enough dose at first to stop all cravings. SUPER IMPORTANT to make it so you never feel the desire to fix ever again. You'll know what I mean when you have no desire again cause you will feel just fine from the Methadone. You'll be legally saving your life. Pretty dang cool really. You'll see.
