Methadone Pain Management In West Grand Rapids Mi

I need to find a doctor willing to prescribe Methadone. I was in a car accident in 2009. Ihave been through the ringer with different doctor's & many different meds but Methadone seemed to work the best. I have been with my present Doctor for 2 1/2 years!! and on oxy 40s and Norco 10-325 for the amount of years, they no longer have the long time affect to get me through my day.. I have 2 young children including a 9 month old. I need HELP!! my doctor says he is worried in prescribing me a Methadone because of the "addicting" purpose..but sorry doc. what do you think the oxys or even the Norco do? I've come to the conclusion that he is just wanting to rake in the money from my insurance with the 2 meds he is already prescribing me vs. the 1 med that will help me!!! so if there is anyone out there with even REMOTELY the same situation and knows a good DOC in the West Michigan AREA Grand Rapids AREA that will take a good patient who is not DRUG SEEKING..just need a trustworthy DOCTOR! HAVE A HEARING COMING UP SOON FOR DISABILITY!! PLEASE HELP!! serious answers only please

Now, please understand that I am not accusing you of anything or saying this is what you're doing, I'm just going to give you your doctor's perspective on this….

Rather than adjusting your dose of Oxycodone, you suddenly want to jump to a very powerful and highly addictive medication, which is an action very commonly viewed as being drug seeking behavior.

Rationally, your current dose of Oxycodone is a low-moderate one, so there is plenty of room to adjust it to get your pain back under control, thus, I hope I am making your doctor's viewpoint clear for you.

Is there some reason you think Methadone would work better for you?

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

YA KNOW WHAT. WHAT I JUST READ ABOUT BEING CAREFULL OF CHANGING TO METHADONE BECZ OF THE SIDE EFFECTS REALLY BUG ME! ALL OF THEM HAVE SIDE EFFECTS. all of them! THE PERSON SAID WAS NOT DRUG SEEKING. I HAVE BEEN THRU HELL FOR 7 YEARS OF PAIN. AND HELL WITH ALLOT OF IGNORATE DRS. MEAN DRS. ASSUMING DRS. WALK OUT ON ME DRS. WHILE I SIT THERE SCREAMNG IN PAIN ALL THEY CAN DO IS ASSUME I WANT TO FEEL HIGH. WHO IN THERE RT MIND WOULD WANT TO BE ON PAIN MEDS TRHU THEIR LIFE!!!!! NOT ME! I AM MISSERABLE. ALONE. ANGRY. LOSING PEOPLE IN MY LIFE. ASHAMED OF MY BEHAVIOR ON THESE OPIODS. BUT NOTHING ELSE WORKS. I GOT ON SUBUTEX AFTER A FUSION AND YEAR LATER A LAMINECTOMY. IT WAS WORKING. THEN BAM! ANOTHER ACCIDENT TORE THE DISK THAT WAS JUST WORKED ON! AT CHURCH! I WAS SO UPSET . HAVING TO GO THRU THIS ALL OVER AGAIN. ONE DR TOLD ME I USE MY SURGERYS AS A LISENCE TO GET MEDS. WHAT AN I****! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE COMPASION. I JUST WANT OUT OFF PAIN. I JUST WANT MY LIFE BACK
