Methadone Causing Drowsiness

Updated May 27, 2020

I've been taking methadone for 10 months now. I'm a 200lb Male. I normally take between 50 - 150 ml per day. But the past 2 months the liquid I get has been putting me to sleep. Like I used to come home from work and relax, eat, watch tv, and chill. Well now I come home, eat, and wind up going to sleep for hours on end. Then I wake up at around 2 am, lay back down, and I fall asleep again till 6 when I get up for work. This is getting old quick. Has anyone else gone through this? By the way I dose at 7 am every day. Any and all help appreciated!

I also should add that I go to pain management, but my doc has cut me way down, and I found a way to make it through the month by dosing with the methadone. But it's a double edged sword cause the methadone is so strong it almost takes away from my oxymorphone and oxycodone. So with that being said I'm gonna try and get my oxymorphone bumped back up to the 30mg where I was at. Those worked wonders for me. Guess I'll see about that next month. Till then stay away from this stupid Corona virus n stay safe.
