Methadone And Zubsolv

I had took my 70mg methadone 2 days ago literry over 48 hours ago. Im not sure but can i take half zubsolv tonight? I am in so much pain and not able to dose till tomorrow morning. I won't make it till then. Im weak when it comes to my drug of choice when i feel this way. I hope i can gwt a answer soon.

Hello Kailli,

First and foremost my suggestion is for you to contact your doctor and explain the situation and see what their instructions are. They will be the best person to give you directions. Below I have put together some information that may help you short term.

According to the Zubsolv website you should only start administering the medication when you are in full blown withdraw from the methadone because the medications are going to cancel each other out and will end up in withdraw for both until one of them leaves your system. From what I read methadone has a 8-60 hour half life cycle (the amount of time it takes for the active ingredients in your blood stream to reduce by half). The generally accepted rule is that it takes approximately 4 cycles for a drug to completely leave your system. This means you could expect to wait between 32 and 240 hours (1 1/2 days to 10 days) for the methadone to be completely gone. In best case scenario the methadone is out of your system and worst case you haven't even hit a single half life yet.

While you are still able to control yourself I strongly urge you to find someone who is willing to take care of you and help keep you on the proper path until you are able to get the answer from your doctor.
